We All Need a Little Time Out

Relaxing in Nature

"Such a great bunch of women. It was nice to have a laugh and also have plenty of time to do my own thing. I highly recommend it...oh, and take some slippers, I had slipper envy".

Putting some time and money aside to invest in your own wellbeing is wisdom in action.

Do you put yourself at the bottom of the priority list?

I see it all the time. People taking care of others at their own expense.

It's a myth to think we can have it all, do it all, without there being a cost.

It has become normal to experience exhaustion, anxiety, depression, addictions, skin disorders, sleep issues, menstrual problems, weight issues as if there were no alternatives.

Reclaim the possibilities of peace, ease, happiness, and joy by taking a retreat.

By taking a retreat you are making an important statement.

I matter. I trust myself. The answers to my challenges lie within me.

Some things on Retreat are knowable and predictable, like:

  • Waking up to an amazing starry night which takes your breath away.

  • Finding a practice, or a moment when it all feels ok again.

  • Smiling more than you have been lately.

  • Noticing how attached to your cell ph. you are and how liberating it is to have no wifi.

  • Deeply loving the peace and quiet.

  • Breathing in a more nourishing way.

  • Reconnecting to your inner self.

  • Noticing how distance and space naturally brings a fresh perspective. Things become clearer.

Somethings are just mysterious and are unique to who's there and what the season is, like:

  • The sound we make as a group chanting together.

  • The feeling of the group.

  • What comes up for you individually.

  • The friendships made.

  • The revelations meditation offers.

  • The inspirations borne from nature.

The retreats are based on inner awareness and meditative mind. The natural state we are all blessed with having, yet often become disconnected from.

Yoga philosophy and practice are based on the premise that we all have everything we need inside us already to be completely happy and free. The nature of the untrained mind steals this from us.

Oftentimes it is un-learning, rather than learning that we need to do.

We are, every one of us, wise, kind, and wonderful. We simply need to remember the steps back to that place.

Yoga leads us by the hand and takes us back home. There is no "right" way for that to show up. On retreat you are free from the normal constraints of life; free to meet the restraints and limitations you impose upon yourself.

This is the real work of spiritual growth and personal transformation; clearing away the excess chatter of the mind so we can see our patterns, heal and transcend our patterns.

We all have a way "in" to our centre, to our intuitive wisdom, to our truth. Being on retreat can help open those doors again, perhaps even discover new ones.
