Since nearly everyone living in the modern world is coping with an overload of thinking, remembering, multi-tasking and planning, and technology this is the perfect antidote.
By choosing silence and meditation you offer your mind, your nervous system, and your soul an opportunity to relax and refresh.
This retreat is ideal for those who would like to learn, embrace or deepen the gentle, yet powerful and practical skill of meditation, japa, yoga, and mantra.
The meditations will be guided and focused mainly on the breath, gradually moving to being mindful of mental activity and moving even subtler inwardly to being mindful of awareness.
The retreat will have a strong focus on being mindful of our motivations and how to transform them into being compassionate and wise. The schedule will include guided meditations, gentle yoga, chanting lessons, instruction in mantra japa ( using mala beads).
All sessions are optional as the most important thing is that you get the rest and peace and quiet that you need.
There will be delicious plant-based meals, and time for reflection – all in a quiet, peaceful spot. This retreat will allow participants to build a regular practice.
There is also a spa and some forest walks on the doorstep. Everyone warmly welcome – some emotional stability required, but no yoga or meditation experience necessary.
